Laboratory testing and sample registration

KnowYou+ test kits are supplied by Know You Ltd. Sample registration, laboratory analysis and the delivery of test results are provided through our CQC-accredited laboratory partner.

When you register your KnowYou+ test kit, you may be directed to a secure laboratory registration portal. Information entered directly into that portal is collected and processed by the laboratory provider for purposes including sample registration, laboratory analysis and delivery of your test results.

This may include personal and health information such as your name, date of birth, sex or gender where clinically relevant, contact details, sample information and other information required to provide the testing service.

The laboratory provider is responsible for explaining how personal and health information submitted through its registration portal is collected, used and protected. You should read the privacy information provided on the registration portal when registering your kit.

Know You Ltd does not require access to your full laboratory report or clinical information simply to sell and deliver your test kit. Where information needs to be shared between Know You Ltd and the laboratory provider for purposes such as customer support, sample identification, replacements or resolving an issue with your testing service, only the information reasonably necessary for that purpose will be used or shared.

Health information is special-category personal data and is subject to additional protections under UK data-protection law.

Your test results

Following laboratory analysis, your results will be provided using the contact details supplied during registration. It is important that the information you provide when registering your kit is accurate.

Marketing

Information supplied through the laboratory registration process will not be used by Know You Ltd for marketing unless you have separately consented to receive marketing communications from KnowYou+.
