Prostate Health Test
This focused test measures Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), an important blood marker used to monitor prostate health. Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
Before testing
Avoid vigorous exercise, especially cycling, and sexual activity/ejaculation for 48 hours before collecting your sample. These can temporarily increase PSA levels and make the result harder to interpret.
When to take your test
Collect your sample in the morning where possible, following the kit instructions. Keep well hydrated beforehand to make finger-prick collection easier.
Recent prostate procedures or symptoms
PSA can also be affected by prostate inflammation, infection, or recent examination/procedures. If any of these apply, or if you are unsure whether now is the right time to test, speak to your GP or healthcare professional before testing.
Important
A PSA result does not diagnose prostate cancer on its own. An abnormal result should be discussed with your GP or healthcare professional.
