Heart Health Test
This test measures 4 key cholesterol and blood-fat markers to provide an overview of levels associated with heart health. Total Cholesterol, High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) Cholesterol, Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) Cholesterol, Triglycerides
Before testing
For the clearest triglyceride result, we recommend fasting for 10–12 hours before collecting your sample, drinking water only during this time.
If you are not fasting, avoid fatty meals for at least 6 hours beforehand. High-fat foods can make the sample cloudy and may interfere with laboratory analysis.
If you have high triglycerides
If you have previously been told that your triglycerides are high, or your doctor has specifically requested a fasting lipid profile, fast for 10–12 hours before testing and drink water only.
Hydration
Drink water as normal before collecting your sample.
Collect your sample at home using the instructions provided, return it in the prepaid tracked packaging, and your sample is analysed by a CQC-regulated laboratory.
